Lead designer and director of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds , Brendan Greene recently announced his decision of not working on PUBG anymore and that he does not see the making of a PUBG 2 in the future. Greene said that he was done with battle royale games and that it was time to try something new.

He wants to “explore online experiences and how to connect people in ways that we haven’t really done before,” and based on that we can say that his upcoming projects will be nothing like PUBG.

He also added that he loves seeing the growth of this particular genre with games like Apex Legends, Fortnite, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode.
